If you’re nervous about family photos because you don’t know what to do, you’re normal. Most people feel that way. Here’s how sessions work—simple direction, movement, and real connection.
1) We Start Simple (So Everyone Warms Up)
We don’t jump straight into “perfect family portrait.”
We ease in with:
- walking together
- talking
- simple prompts
- letting kids get comfortable
2) I Guide You With Easy Prompts
You won’t be left standing there wondering what to do.
Prompts are things like:
- “Walk toward me and talk to each other.”
- “Everybody squeeze in close.”
- “Tell your kid something funny.”
- “Pick them up and give them a big hug.”
This creates natural moments without stiff posing.
3) The Session Has a Flow
A typical flow looks like:
- everyone together
- smaller groupings (parents + kids, siblings, etc.)
- movement prompts
- quick resets when needed
- finish near the best light
4) If Kids Melt Down, We Reset
It happens. No big deal.
We pause, reset, and keep moving. Some of the best images happen after the reset—when everyone stops trying to force it.
5) You Don’t Have to Stare at the Camera
Most of the session you’ll be focused on:
- each other
- your kids
- the moment
You’ll look at the camera sometimes, but not constantly. That’s how it stays natural.
6) What Happens After the Session
You’ll receive a curated gallery—your strongest images—ready for prints, albums, and wall art.
