Family Photographer in Odessa, Florida, Odessa still has that open, rural feel most of Pasco County used to have years ago. Big lots, horse properties mixed in with new construction, Starkey Wilderness Preserve on one edge and Lake Rogers Park on the other. The Gunn Highway / Race Track Road corridor is the clearest example with one to five acre lots, no HOA in most of it, working horse fences next to custom-built homes. That’s the character of the area, and it’s why the sessions here look different from a subdivision shoot in Trinity or Paradise Lakes.

How a session works

Same as every session I shoot. I give a little direction by giving you something to do like have a tickle fight with the kids or walk towards me and do this or that, then get out of the way to watch for the shots to develop. No forced smiles, no twenty minutes of “look at the camera.” Kids move, parents relax, I shoot what’s actually happening.

Where we shoot in Odessa

Lake Rogers Park — 272 acres off North Mobley Road, with a lake loop trail and open shoreline. Good shade options depending on the hour, water in nearly every frame if you want it.

Starkey Wilderness Preserve — more tree cover, better for a shaded, woods heavy look.

Your yard or living room — works well for younger kids, especially ones who do better somewhere familiar than in a park with strangers around.

A finished, hand-edited gallery delivered digitally. Print, album, and wall art options if you want them. Never required to book with me but most of my clients end up wanting these for their homes.

Do you travel to Odessa regularly? Yes. I’m based in New Port Richey, and most of my work is around Pasco County — Trinity, Starkey Ranch, Land O’ Lakes, Odessa.

What’s the best time of day to do this? Last hour before sunset. Early morning if you’ve got younger kids who fade fast once the afternoon heat sets in.

What about bad weather? We reschedule. No charge. Seriously, that’s the deal. No hidden games here.
