ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Jeff Jansen – Lifestyle Family Photographer in New Port Richey, Florida
I drove a semi-truck over the road for 25 years. Long hauls, long hours, a lot of missed birthdays and milestones. I know what it costs to not be in the room.
Now I’m in the room. As a grandfather of five, I shoot families the way I wish someone had shot mine with everyone in the frame, not just the kids.
Getting a family out the door for photos is work. Getting three generations out the door is harder. I run the session so you don’t have to manage it. I’ll set the order so I can keep the session moving, and catch what’s actually happening instead of posing what isn’t.

We are not a ‘perfect photo’ family. My kids are feral by 5pm, my husband hates cameras, and I always feel awkward. My dad was in town for the session, and somehow Jeff got all of us — three generations, kids melting down and all — into my favorite photos we’ve ever had.

Jeff photographed our newborn at home when we were in that sleep-deprived, what-day-is-it haze. My husband’s parents were in town, so we got three generations in the same session — grandparents, us, and the baby. I’m so glad we didn’t wait for a “better” time to book him.

We booked a Short & Sweet session because we just needed a few updated photos for cards and grandparents, and honestly, I wasn’t expecting to love them as much as I do.
HOW THIS WORKS
Guided candid. I give you something to do — walk, whisper, pick her up — then I step back and shoot what actually happens. If I miss a moment, I miss it. I don’t stage it after the fact.
Every session is built around who’s actually there, not a shot-list template.
Every image edited by hand. No batch presets, no filters doing the work for me.
Multi-gen sessions are run in order: full group first, then splits, then pairs. Nobody stands around losing patience while I figure it out.
